Original Timeline
Early life

Like other more benevolent members of its race, the Evil Entity came to Earth thousands of years ago at the time of Nibiru, when a planetary alignment weakened the barriers between dimensions and allowed them to cross over. While many other Anunnaki sought to help humankind grow, such as building the pyramids of Ancient Egypt, the Evil Entity desired only destruction. Its plans were discovered before it could take physical form in the Earth dimension, in the manner typical of its race—by possessing a native animal—the entity was trapped within a crystal sarcophagus filled with black pearls by the other Anunnaki.

Through means unknown, the sarcophagus wound up in the Yucatán, where the entity devised a plan to ensure its release. Using what little psychic power it was still able to affect on Earth, it subliminally brought together the Hunters of Secrets—a group of four humans and their pet jaguar—with the intent that they locate its sarcophagus and free it. The Hunters deduced the entity's true nature and plans, however, and devised a means to destroy it using the Heart of the Jaguar, but as they were making preparations, the sarcophagus was stolen away by a band of Spanish conquistadors led by Fernando El Aguirre, who saw it as a valuable treasure—perhaps as the result of further manipulation by the entity in order to save its own life.[2]

The entity's mere presence proved corruptive to the conquistadors, who succumbed to dark impulses, driven to destroy entire villages in search of riches. Deeming the sarcophagus cursed, El Aguirre and his men anchored in a cove on the North American coastline and took the sarcophagus and all the other treasure its influence had compelled them to acquire deep into catacombs beneath the bay, intending to hide them away forever.[3] Using the mysterious, alchemical Planispheric Disk, they charted a path through caverns and through time and space itself, sealing the sarcophagus and the entity away in the space between dimensions, barring the way with four elementally locked doorways and then splitting the disk into six pieces and scattering them to prevent the "cursed treasure" from ever being found again.[4]

Although sealed away, the entity's corrupting influence remained strong, and its mere presence shaped the town that grew on the land above its resting place, dubbed "Crystal Cove" by the conquistadors for the dark secret it held. Under the entity's sway, the town became a center of the mysterious and weird, where people decided that the best way to commit crimes was to dress up as ghosts and monsters using increasingly outlandish and infeasible technology. However, these mystery scenarios were the catalyst for the entity's true plan: as it had done before with the Hunters of Secrets, it brought together groups consisting of four humans, whose mystery-solving abilities would allow them to discover the locations of the scattered pieces of the Planispheric Disk and uncover its prison, and one animal, which the entity could then possess in order to take physical form on Earth. Unfortunately for the entity, its corrupting touch also worked against it, as group after group fell victim to their dark sides, turning on each other and falling apart long before they could find all the disk pieces.

The first group to be corrupted after El Aguirre's conquistadors was the Fraternitas Mysterium, a group of friars who arrived in Crystal Cove shortly after it had become a missionary settlement. They met El Aguirre as he fled in insanity, leaving behind his two disk pieces. The group recognized the Evil Entity was corrupting them and were prepared to destroy the pieces, but their donkey, Porto, destroyed the entire town, causing it to sink into the ocean.[5] As the another group emerged, the Alianza Misterio.[6]

As Crystal Cove joined the United States, another group emerged, the Mystery Gang, during the Old West.[6] Then, in the 1880s, a new group, the Benevolent Lodge of Mystery, formed at the Burlington Library just outside Crystal Cove. This group's leader, Oswald P. Burlington, took an interest in the groups that preceded his, noticing a connection between the groups of five with their animal.[7] However, after the group disbanded, one of its members, Abigail Gluck, remained under the Evil Entity's corrupting influence, building a robot factory near the underground ruins of the old Crystal Cove and building Kriegstaffebots to search for the Planispheric Disk. However, she died before she ever found the disk piece in the underground ruins.[8]

Into the twentieth century, the Evil Entity corrupted a wealthy family, the Darrow Family, who found a disk piece as the Mystery Fellowship. However, due to the Evil Entity's immense corruption, they fought each other over the disk until their mansion sank into the ground, after which they lived the rest of their lives fighting over it until their youngest member, Danny Darrow, was the only one alive.[9]

Then, the Evil Entity corrupted Crystal Cove High School's mystery-solving club, Mystery Incorporated, making them search for the disk pieces and venture into the Darrow Mansion, though they failed to find the piece. Though they found another piece in the Crystal Cove Caves, their maniacal mascot Professor Pericles was actively sought to be possessed by the entity in order to gain its power, so he betrayed the rest of the group with history student Fred Jones, Sr. Together, they forced Mystery Inc. out of Crystal Cove, but then Jones betrayed Pericles, taking the piece for himself and framing Pericles for their disappearance.[10] As Jones became mayor much later, his new adoptive son, Fred Jones, Jr., formed his own mystery-solving group also called Mystery Incorporated, but Jones discouraged their investigations.

When the new Mystery Incorporated succeeded in locating all the disk pieces and reforming the Planispheric Disk, they were forced to hand the disc over to Pericles[11], who used it to unearth the elemental gates hidden beneath Crystal Cove. After caputing the gang, Professor Pericles unlock the key to free the Evil Entity.

Pericles liberated the entity, who intended to possess Scooby-Doo, but the latter managed to free himself. Pericles, after telling the Entity to forget about using Scooby as a vessel, offered himself up to the entity as a willing host instead and the entity agreed, evidently unaware that the Entity would entirely subsume him upon possession. Taking Pericles's body, the entity gained physical form as an octopus-like creature and set about consuming all of Crystal Cove's inhabitants before moving on to consume planets and galaxies. Evil Entity sucked away

The Evil Entity is dragged into the dark hole, ensuring its end once and for all.

Discovering the entity was unable to hurt them directly, the Mystery Incorporated kids realized that, unlike most of the other mystery-solving groups forged by the entity, their friendship was selfless and genuine, like the Hunters of Secrets before them. With this revelation, they plunged the Heart of the Jaguar into the sarcophagus, destroying it and severing the Entity's link to their dimension . The obliteration of the Entity retroactively wiped all traces of it from history, creating an alternate timeline in which it never existed and all those who had fallen victim to its "influence" lived happy and contented lives.[1]

Post-Nibiru

In the new timeline, Crystal Cove, which had been dubbed the "most hauntedest place on Earth," became "the sunniest place on Earth." The destruction of the Evil Entity also undid all the crimes Mystery Inc. investigated, meaning monsters such as the Slime Mutant, Phantom, Nightfright, Aphrodite, White Wizard, Ghost Girl, Ghost of Dead Justice, Crybaby Clown, the Fiend never existed. Gary and Ethan, who had previously bullied Fred and posed as Hebediah Grim to seduce teenage girls, were now happy friends with Fred. Fred Jones, Sr. became a coach and the mentor of several high school students, and Danny Darrow instead of being a monstrous recluse, now welcomes people to his mansion, a historic location. Notably, Destroido, once the largest polluter in Crystal Cove, had since become Creationex, a green company owned by Ricky Owens, Cassidy Williams, and their mascot, Professor Pericles.[1]

The members of Mystery Inc. were the only people with memories from the previous timeline, but speculative fiction writer Harlan Ellison was also aware of the Evil Entity's existence, as through his studies he learned to interact with alternate timelines. As there were no more crimes to solve in Crystal Cove, Ellison invited Mystery Inc. to Miskatonic University where more mysteries awaited them.[1]

Personality[]

As its name suggests, the Evil Entity was the most evil and dangerous Annunaki, representing pure, cosmic evil and being the greatest existential threat to humankind. Deriving its power from consuming humans, it desired to devour entire worlds and gain power from doing so. It desired nothing but utter destruction and chaos of the entire universe, even destroying its own creation to further its apocalyptic desires.

Though it remained trapped in a crystal sarcophagus for millenia, the entity's corrupting influence persisted as it created entire groups of people with the hopes that someone would set it free. It exercised its god-like power to create humans, being the "author of [their] every hope and dream" and taking advantage of their every flaw to drive them towards evil, such as Fernando El Aguirre's greed and Professor Pericles' immense ego and lust for power. These people still had free will and some, such as Cassidy Williams, sought liberate themselves from its influence. However, it had no qualms with destroying and consuming its most loyal creations such as Professor Pericles, showing it was incapable of empathy or respect for any life other than its own. This makes the Evil Entity not only one of the most dangerous villains/monsters in all of the second season of Scooby-Doo!: Mystery Incorporated, but arguably one of the single most sinister and downright evil villains/monsters in the entity of the show, even surpassing both the Freak of Crystal Cove, Crybaby Clown and even Professor Pericles in terms of overall sinister-ness.

It even considered the Mystery Incorporated kids, and potentially all that came before them, as the Children of Nibiru. The Evil Entity posses a series of dark tentacles, for which he can use to either bash his victims with, can stretch in great lengths or use them for one of his main primary ability, which is possessing and absorbing his victims' bodies, turning them into the body for the Evil Entity.

The Evil Entity's primary ability is absorbing matter/eating humans, for which if he eats enough, the Evil Entity will be free from his prison. The Evil Entity is also shown to be highly durable as nothing can penetrate his skin, not even the Heart of the Jaguar is able to make a scratch on him.
